Government should provide free health care through tax

            There are a lot of people on Indonesia who can’t afford health costs for themselves. And many of them also can’t use the high standards of health service since the price is too high for them. Hence, the role of the government is very important to overcome this problem. I agree with a statement that government should provide free health care from the tax that is paid by the citizens. I will describe my argument in the next paragraph.
            In Article 28 A of the 1945 Constitution stated “All people have the right to live and have the right to defend their lives” then reaffirmed in Article 28 H paragraph 1 that, “every person has the right to live physically and spiritually, and get an environment live a good and healthy life and have the right to get health services”. This why government should provide free health care from the tax. The citizen has the right to live healthy and enjoy the health care services from government.
            Everything that causes health problems to the people of Indonesia will cause huge economic losses for the country according to law 2009 no.36. That is why improving health services is also important since it can result in a higher degree of public health, and also allowing the community to live more productively.
            Based on Ministry of Finance’s data, the most fund sources in Indonesia is from tax. And it is allocated for several sector in Indonesia include health care. In 2019, the amount of health care budget is 123.1 T. This budget is use to improve the quality of health care system and also give the budget for Kartu Indonesia Pintar.
            Government must provide free health care in Indonesia through taxes. This will lead the equality of health care for the citizen in Indonesia. So, people who can’t afford health costs still can go to the hospital because of free health care.
